Marketing Manager

Location: San Jose, CA

As HomeCourt’s Marketing Manager, you will be integral to building the HomeCourt brand and a best in class marketing function from the ground up. You will have a 360 degree overview, involvement, and influence over all things marketing.

You will be connecting the dots between marketing channels as well as with design and product. In short you will be one of the cornerstones of the future HomeCourt marketing team.

You will get an opportunity to work with elite professional teams/players and with various sports partners across the world of basketball. If you are a marketing ninja who loves basketball, this is the perfect role for you.

In your first 90 days you’ll:

  • Start building marketing fundamentals in close collaboration with the VP of Strategy, Marketing, and Partnerships

  • You’ll connect the dots of existing marketing programs across channels to drive cross functional alignment across the organization

  • Start to take over and own existing marketing programs

What you’ll work on:

  • Build and own marketing plans, processes and budgets

  • Lead strategy for new features and partnerships launches

  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns

  • Define messaging and positioning for product features

  • Build out programmatic communications programs to foster retention

  • Help teams reach their goals through marketing initiatives

  • You have multifaceted experience with an excellent understanding of all major marketing channels

  • You pride yourself on your natural creative storytelling

  • You have a keen sense of brand

  • Able to identify and prioritize opportunities based on user needs and insights

  • Excellent communication skills, especially written communication

  • Ability to advocate for your recommendations based on data, insights and impact to business.

  • Project management ability - organized; can keep multiple projects moving simultaneously and hold partners accountable for timelines and deliverables

  • Data driven and able to conduct analyses independently

  • Familiarity with product marketing best practices and frameworks

Requirements OR Your Background

  • 5-7 years of experience, including B2C marketing experience

  • Marketing experience that includes some combination of performance marketing, digital marketing, PR, lifecycle communications, or content marketing

  • Experience driving user engagement
